As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, ensuring store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and resolving inquiries. Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store. Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on Family Dollar practices. Assisting in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store. Supporting the Store Manager in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling. Supporting loss prevention efforts. Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Following all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives. Preferred experience in store management within retail, grocery, or drug store environments. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 55 lbs occasionally, with the ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, potential development, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
