Overview:

ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - $500 Sign On Bonus! 

Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children!

 

Schedule, Location and Compensation:

• When : Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours
• Where : Sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (in the child’s home, community, and/or school).
• Compensation : $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Must commit to 15 hrs per week schedule to be eligible for the sign on bonus.

Responsibilities:

What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):

• ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans
• to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills. The ABA therapist / Registered Behavior Technician
• Collects and records data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and works in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary

Qualifications:

Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

• Patience, compassion and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals
• Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
• High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferred
• Experience working with children 
• Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• All ABA therapists will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course. Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need to complete it.

PA Clearances:

• The state of PA has additional requirements for ABA providers. Employment is contingent upon receipt of the following during the pre-hire onboarding process. Candidates must be able to provide the following to be considered for employment:
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Check
  • FBI Fingerprinting
  • Child Protective Service Law (CPSL) Training
