Quality Improvement/Data Analyst

PAY SCALE: $68,250.00 - $86,625, exempt position.

FTE: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week).

TITLE: Quality Improvement/Data Analyst

REPORTS TO: M110 Behavioral Health Resource Network Director (BHRN)

DEPARTMENT: MHAAO Behavioral Health Resource Network Peer Delivered Services-and related outreach

Job Summary: This full-time Quality Improvement/Data Analyst is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and analysis of the data and service operations of the Recovery Campus, Behavioral Health Resource Network (BHRN), Deflection and related Outreach programs as assigned. Key responsibilities surround the gathering, analysis, and reporting of data used to maintain programs and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of program services, and the coordination of database and quality improvement procedures pertaining to peer services in the Recovery Campus, BHRN, and other assigned programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the services, processes, and standards across the Recovery Campus, BHRN, and other assigned programs. Leverage this expertise to assist in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of program services and operations.
  • Support the use and maintenance of systems and procedures for documenting and reporting service delivery through coordination and collaboration with department managers and directors.
  • Support the integrity and quality of data by monitoring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation of services through regular audits. Collaborate with Peer Managers and Directors in maintaining and improving data quality.
  • Conduct ongoing data analysis to understand current service delivery outputs, outcomes and limitations. Conduct basic to intermediate analysis of key metrics and program data to identify trends, make predictions, and calculate targets related to service delivery. Ensure service delivery data and information is available and communicated to managers and rirectors, and presented in an effective and understandable way.

  • Synthesize data and produce quarterly reports for grant partners, internal service delivery reports, and ad hoc reports. Ensure reports are generated in a timely manner to support submission by reporting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the use of databases relevant to the Recovery Campus, BHRN, and related outreach programs. Create and maintain forms that are customized and optimized for the needs of unique programs and processes. Provide, as needed, training and technical support for staff.
  • Provide information and data support for quality improvement initiatives focused on M110, Recovery Campus and outreach programs.
  • Support data, compliance, and reporting tasks for external audits.
  • Provide guidance or expertise, as needed, to peer staff, coordinators, navigators, and managers related to data and quality improvement operations.
  • Assists with other quality improvement and data projects as assigned
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • 3-5 years of combined experience in the field of mental health and/or addictions recovery, program coordination, quality improvement/assurance, program evaluation, data analysis, and technical support experience, required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field, or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • High proficiency in utilizing operating systems and software related to the gathering, tracking, and analysis of services delivery and program administration data including Electronic Health Record technologies, Excel, Microsoft Operating Systems, Android OS, and Apple iOS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Demonstrated success at working effectively in a diverse, collaborative team environment, with skills in promoting inclusion and cultural responsiveness.
  • Experience in collaborating with organizational leaders and community partners to identify shortcomings in the organization and in building partnerships to improve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, trauma informed approach and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain high professional standards at all times with staff and community partners.

Ideally have lived experience of mental health and addiction recovery. Candidates with substance use disorder (SUD) are required to have at least 2 years continuous recovery at time of hire. Possesses an absolute belief in every person's ability to learn, grow and recover. Possesses insight pertaining to personal biases and worldview and how they may interfere with effectively working with individuals representing a variety of cultural, ethnic, language and life experiences.
