Job Description

Due to our client’s store growth, we are seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Professional at their Corporate Office in Cape Girardeau, MO. This position would work with existing accounting department staff members and management.
This position requires great attention to detail, a very good understanding of accounting debits and credits, and a friendly and professional personality. Hours are typical business hours and occasional Saturday mornings. Wage based on experience.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Professional
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO 63703
Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Additional hours:
Every 7th Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Fridays may extend to 7:00 PM

What’s the Job?  
  • Applying basic accounting fundamentals to perform typical Accounts Receivable and Cash Reconciliation procedures including bank reconciliations done manually.
  • Reconciliation of large volume of store sales and cash payment transactions including data entry of payments.
  • Learn POS payment system with ability to help stores solve customer payment issues.
  • Wholesale department route check-in process and software invoicing/balancing tasks shared with other members of the AR department.
  • Ability to make one off Journal Entries, knowing what GL accounts to debit and credit.
  • Filing Sales and Tire tax in 6 states along with maintaining Sales Tax Exemptions forms.
  • Excel Spreadsheet work using basic skills.
  • Scanning of paper documents for long term storage.
  • Various other office tasks as needed.


What’s Needed?  

  • Must understand accounting debits and credits related to all general accounting functions.
  • Accounting degree is preferred but not required.
  • 5 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Working with large volumes of data and paper documents.
  • Accuracy and number balancing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on basic Excel skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all other positions within the company.
  • Willingness to grow knowledge and skills.
