As a Business Management Analyst – Level 4 located in Aurora, CO, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Our Business Management Analyst will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting and variance analysis. You will also work to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. You will assist with development of financial deliverables to the government customer and analyze the Earned Value performance of the program to ensure successful execution.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development and analysis of estimates to complete
  • Assist with program resource management, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking and analysis
  • Assist with preparation of financial CDRLs
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience
  • Program Cost Control experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS
  • Experience with Cobra, SAP, or IBM Cognos
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Financial analysis presentation experience
  • Proposal preparation, strategy development or evaluation experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
