Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our woodworking team in Waxhaw, NC . This hands-on role is critical to delivering beautifully finished products that meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be experienced in surface preparation, staining, painting, sealing, and finishing wood products-especially custom cabinetry. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and is dedicated to mastering the craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sand, clean, and prepare wood surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of stains, paints, lacquers, or sealants
• Fill imperfections and repair minor damages for a smooth, even finish
• Apply stains, paints, sealers, and topcoats using various application techniques including spraying, brushing, and wiping
• Match color, texture, and sheen to meet customer specifications and design requirements
• Inspect finished cabinets for consistency, defects, and overall appearance
• Perform touch-ups and corrections as needed to ensure final product quality before delivery or installation
• Use roll-around tables and handle materials safely during finishing processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe finishing area

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for imperfections
• Proficiency in surface preparation , including sanding, cleaning, and filling
• Hands-on experience with wood finishing techniques and materials such as stains, paints, lacquers, and sealants
• Ability to detect and correct inconsistencies in texture, color, and coverage
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in wood finishing and cabinet production
• Physically able to lift and move materials and work on your feet throughout the day
