VARIOUS CAREGIVER ROLES AVAILABLE INCLUDING CERTIFIED NURSING AIDES, DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS AND RESPITE SPECIALISTS!
Caregivers are responsible for the care, hygiene, health, training, development, safety and supervision of the participants of Harbor House services and programs.
Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) are hand-on roles interacting and providing care for intellectually disabled adults including participation in art, music and health/wellness activities, including assistance with eating and toileting. Shift is Monday - Friday with hours between 6:30AM - 6:00PM, with weekend rotation providing respite care in a home setting, which includes overnights. Pay starts at $16/hour and $25/hour when providing respite care. Full-time positions.
Certified Nursing Aides (CNA's) provide the same care as DSP's, along with taking and recording vitals and must possess a valid KY CNA license. Shift is Monday - Friday with hours between 6:30AM - 6:00PM, with weekend rotation providing respite care in a home setting, which includes overnights. Pay starts at $19/hour and $25/hour when providing respite care. Full-time positions.
Respite Specialists are DSP's that work in a small, residential setting providing care mixed with fun, exciting activities with participants. This position typically works a rotating day/night rotation from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Position is evolving to include weeknight overnight shifts as well. After successful completion of a training period, this position pays $25/hour. Full-and part-time positions available.
