Vaco Atlanta is hiring a Cash Applications Specialist to join a rapidly growing organization! This person will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate application of customer payments, maintaining clean AR records, and supporting overall cash flow efficiency. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, analytical, and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Base pay range: $26.00/hr - $30.00/hr What You’ll Do Apply daily customer payments (ACH, wires, checks, credit cards) to open invoices within established timeframes Review and reconcile remittance advice against service contracts and recurring billing schedules Maintain daily cash receipt logs and deposit summaries for audit and reconciliation Investigate unapplied cash, short pays, and payment discrepancies in collaboration with Collections and Billing Communicate with customers to obtain remittance details or resolve payment application issues Research and resolve unidentified cash, duplicate payments, and misapplied funds Support month‑end close through reconciliations and preparation of related reports Partner with Collections to validate and apply payments received through collection efforts Coordinate with Billing to ensure accurate invoicing and alignment with remittance details Prepare and distribute daily cash posting reports and cash application metrics Maintain clear, organized documentation to support audits and compliance requirements Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce unapplied cash and increase automation Requirements High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in Cash Applications or Accounts Receivable (service‑based environment preferred) Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite is required) and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a customer service‑focused approach Ability to manage high transaction volumes in a fast‑paced environment Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues Experience with subscription billing or service contracts a plus Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceTrade, or ProScope Understanding of revenue recognition and deferred revenue concepts Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full‑time Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
