Position Title: C-Class Driver with Light Utility Maintenance Experience

Reports To: Tool shop Manager

Company Overview: McCurdy Tool is a reputable organization dedicated to delivering exceptional services and maintaining high operational standards. We are seeking a reliable and skilled C-Class Driver with light utility maintenance experience. Candidates with a B-Class license will be given preference.

Position Summary: The C-Class Driver with Light Utility Maintenance Experience is responsible for driving company vehicles to transport goods and personnel while performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on various utilities. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, experience in utility maintenance, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving Duties: Safely operate C-Class vehicles to transport tooling to our Sister location as well as vendors. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Utility Maintenance: Perform light utility maintenance tasks such as basic repairs, equipment checks, and routine servicing of company assets. Perform light janitorial duties of the facility. Maintain lawn care for premises.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintenance activities. Complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues immediately.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with Vendors and team members. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and minor repairs on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any major issues to the maintenance department. Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Tool Shop manager and Purchaser

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• License: Valid C-Class driver's license with a clean driving record. B-Class driver's license is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in light utility maintenance and driving. Familiarity with basic repair tools and equipment.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of utility systems and maintenance procedures.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, perform manual labor, and work in various weather conditions.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Availability: Flexible with work hours, including availability for overtime as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Combination of driving and on-site maintenance work. Exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather.
• Hours: Full-time position with overtime. Typical hours are 5:00am to 4:30pm
