Job Title: Construction General Laborer II

Position Summary

AlffCo is hiring a hardworking General Laborer to support our commercial construction crews on remodels, tenant improvements, and service-based projects across the U.S. You’ll work under the direction of a Crew Lead, assisting with demolition, installations, repairs, and general labor tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and contribute to team success.

You’ll work on active or closed commercial job sites, including restaurants, retail stores, financial institutions, and light industrial facilities. Travel is required, and shifts may include nights or weekends depending on project needs. Cleanliness, professionalism, and attention to detail are key in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction and remodeling tasks, including:
• Framing and finish carpentry
• HVAC and refrigeration work
• Plumbing and light electrical
• Demolition, patching, and other general trades
• Drywall and ceiling grid installation
• Flooring, tile work, and fixture installation
• Light millwork and trim installation
• Follow instructions from the Crew Lead and contribute to the successful completion of daily tasks
• Read and follow scopes of work, site directions, and basic project plans
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
• Work in busy restaurants or retail environments while minimizing disruption to business operations
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and hazard-free throughout the day
• Load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment
• Complete daily jobsite setup and end-of-day cleanup
• Represent AlffCo professionally with clients, team members, and vendors

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction or remodels (restaurant or retail preferred)
• Ability to travel out of town for extended periods (lodging and per diem provided by AlffCo)
• Willingness to work days, nights, or weekend shifts as project schedules require
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor for long periods
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and ability to follow directions closely
• Basic tools required (e.g., hammer, drill, tape measure, utility knife)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to use smartphone apps for time tracking and job documentation
• PPE provided and always required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on restaurant remodels or tenant improvements
• Ability to read and understand simple blueprints or construction drawings
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
