Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary: The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees on construction sites. This role plays a critical part in preventing accidents, reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain the company’s safety program in compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Conduct regular job site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure proper procedures are being followed. Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors on topics such as fall protection, PPE, equipment usage, and emergency procedures. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and incident logs. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and ensure a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations related to workplace safety and health. Lead emergency response planning and drills. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry. OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST, or other relevant safety certifications are a plus. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software. Working Conditions: Primarily on active construction sites; exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environments.
