It's more than a job As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting, screening and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the warehouse.
You will work Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm and paid weekly at $19.20 per hour. How you create impact Essential Duties and Functions - Comfortable with counting, sorting, and handling small to large parts
- Ability to operate tools for role such as RF Scanner and Hip Printer
- Picking priority orders such as Aircraft on Ground, Transfer of Asset, Panics and Current date orders
- Ensure stored location inventory and outbound deliveries are accurate and free of damage
- Effectively understands and marks Delivery note tickets by pick type to support accurate shipments
- Ability to palletize and shrink-wrap
- Comfortable with walking and standing up to 8 hours per day during processing hours
- May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to (50) pounds
- Effectively works from pick tickets to pull product or supplies
- Can validate orders against Delivery notes by validating part and option numbers
- If/when applicable, 'bonded' cargo must be processed and handled accordingly, based on existing guidelines for this type of shipment
- Deliver high level of service to customers through accurate order picking
- Comfortable with walking and standing up to 8 hours
- Assist in other departments on a business need basis
What we would like you to bring Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Minimum Education: High School, High School Equivalent or Technical degree
- Proven basic math skills at the high school level
- Computer skills
- SAP and MS (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook) experience is preferred, but not required
- Must be a US citizen
