We are looking for a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This role plays a pivotal part in managing financial reporting, planning, and maintaining effective controls to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounting department, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient operations.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering growth and competence.
• Monitor daily financial activities, ensuring timely and accurate transactions and reconciliations.
• Establish and review policies and procedures regularly, issuing updates and creating detailed standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with operations managers to address accounting needs and streamline processes.
• Oversee purchasing functions and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize terms and service.
• Facilitate annual audits with external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Supervise payroll processing, journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Compile, review, and distribute accurate financial statements and reports to management in a timely manner.
• Support budget creation and variance analysis, presenting findings to executive leadership.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Strong expertise in document control and scanning processes.
• Proficiency in compiling and organizing financial documents efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage financial reporting and audits.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and controls.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
• Analytical skills to evaluate financial data and prepare detailed reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
