Salary: 55,000

Primary responsibilities include providing daily research and support to a supervisory attorney including maintaining and organizing the calendar, appealing property values, and data entry. Candidates should be organized, motivated, a self-starter, able to multitask, work well with others, have a strong work ethic, able to communicate with co-workers as well as with clients, by telephone, e-mail and letter, and be professional in appearance and demeanor. This is an in-office position with the hours of Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Providing daily support to supervisor
• Heavy research
• Department billing
• Tracking appeal deadlines
• Appealing property values, which include gathering and entering property values and tax rates into the database
• Preparing paperwork for appeal (i.e., form, cover letter, etc.)
• Coordinating hearings internally and working with various local officials to coordinate hearings all over the nation
• Reporting personal property tax values to various local governments, which includes filing the personal property rendition
• Managing our database of electronic client files
• Generating client reports as requested
• Answering and routing incoming phone calls
• Processing mail and incoming correspondence
• Appearance conscious

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred) - Candidates that do not currently hold a Bachelor's degree will not be considered for this position
• Two years of office experience
• Minimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Self-starter
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Financial or accounting background preferred. Some legal would be helpful, but not necessary as we are willing to train
