Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Culinary Assistant to join our team on weekends. The Culinary Assistant will work under the supervision of our Head Chef and assist in the preparation and presentation of delicious meals for our customers. As a Culinary Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, plating, and cleaning duties in our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and slicing
- Assist in assembling dishes and plating them for service
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Monitor food quality and freshness
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in various kitchen tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work weekends
- Culinary degree or certificate is a plus
