Your Role: As the Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, you will champion food safety and quality initiatives across multiple production plants. You will lead the charge in creating, implementing, and maintaining world-class QA programs, ensuring our products exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Set the Standard: Lead the development of best-in-class QA programs and HACCP systems to maintain the highest food safety and quality standards. Drive Compliance: Conduct plant audits, ensuring compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and sanitary design requirements. Analyze & Improve: Monitor production and customer feedback data to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and establish Quality KPIs for continuous improvement. Train & Mentor: Provide robust training programs for QA teams, fostering growth and technical excellence. Collaborate & Report: Partner with plant leadership and regulatory agencies, preparing detailed performance reports and ensuring successful customer audits. The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Set the Standard: Lead the development of best-in-class QA programs and HACCP systems to maintain the highest food safety and quality standards. Drive Compliance: Conduct plant audits, ensuring compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and sanitary design requirements. Analyze & Improve: Monitor production and customer feedback data to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and establish Quality KPIs for continuous improvement. Train & Mentor: Provide robust training programs for QA teams, fostering growth and technical excellence. Collaborate & Report: Partner with plant leadership and regulatory agencies, preparing detailed performance reports and ensuring successful customer audits. What You Bring: A bachelor's degree in food science or a relevant discipline. Minimum of 10 years of experience in food manufacturing within USDA/FDA-regulated environments. Comprehensive understanding of GFSI themes, including BRC or SQF standards. Proficiency in HACCP principles and GMPs. Strong knowledge of 9 CFR and 21 CFR regulatory requirements. Must be 18 years or older. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and conduct inspections on production floors for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
