Our ED is located on the North side of Springfield. We treat patients across the entire age span and a wide range of complaints. Our target for nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1 as we work very closely, and collaboratively with our physician group. We have a dedicated ED education team, made up of ED nurses, to help hone your skills to a fine point. Job Summary
• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.
Job Requirements
• Education
◦ Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience
◦ Preferred: Previous experience as EMT, PCA, or completion of ‘fundamentals of nursing’ for nursing students
• Skills
◦ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
◦ Exhibits valuable time management skills
◦ Strong analytical/problem solving skills
◦ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
