Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst – 100% Onsite

Location: 10311 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC (Onsite Only – No Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Education: High School Diploma Required | Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field preferred

Are you looking to break into cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience? Do you have a background in IT, networking, or systems administration and a passion for security?

We’re looking for Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analysts to help monitor and protect critical IT systems. You’ll work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining real-world experience in threat detection, security monitoring, and incident response. This role is 100% onsite, providing direct exposure to enterprise security operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Threat Intelligence & Log Analysis

• Monitor security feeds for emerging threats
• Use OSINT tools to analyze risks and gather intelligence
• Review firewall, server, and endpoint logs to identify threats
• Document security trends and anomalies

️ Incident Response & Risk Mitigation

• Assist in analyzing and triaging security incidents
• Use PowerShell & Python for log analysis and security automation
• Support containment and remediation efforts to improve security posture

Security Automation & Scripting

• Automate security monitoring tasks using PowerShell & Python
• Work with SCCM, GPO, and security tools to improve efficiency

Documentation & Security Awareness

• Maintain security reports and incident documentation
• Provide threat briefings and updates to security teams

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of server or network administration experience
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for security threats
• Solid documentation and reporting skills
• Basic experience with PowerShell & Python for security automation

Preferred Skills (Not Required, but a Plus!)

• Experience in threat intelligence and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with EDR tools and endpoint security solutions
• Incident response and forensic analysis exposure
• Cloud security knowledge

Preferred Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Industry Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
  • Security+ (CompTIA)
  • Network+ (CompTIA)
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
