Stuart Ave Elkton, VA 22827Phone: 540-298-0054Assisted Living AdministratorQualifications: Must have a valid Assisted Living Administrators License and two years of experience with a positive track record or three years of Assisted Living senior level experience and the ability to pass licensing exam within 90 days of hire.Position Summary: Manages and directs the day to day operation of the facility in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations while upholding the principles, service standards, philosophy and mission of the facility. Position Responsibilities - ServiceAssure the implementation of resident care services and vibrant programs, in accordance with the policies and procedure that are necessary to achieve the delivery of quality personal care and supportive services to our residentsEstablish and assure that the management team maintains timely, open and effective communication with residents and family members, ensuring that the customer's expectations are met or exceeded.Build, develop and effectively manage staff, optimizing individual and team performance through effective leadership, mentoring and training. Assure that all aspects of marketing the facility including networking, sales, advertising, public relations, and community events to ensure the proper development and execution of the marketing plan and to achieve and maintain occupancy. Inputting timely and complete information into Marketing Program.Develop a plan to allows for the effective delivery of quality care and excellent service while achieving the financial goals set for the facilityInterpret existing policy and procedure to nursing staff, resident, families and physiciansEducation and in-service training to staffLead department head meetingsAssist new employees in following facility policies and proceduresImplement and review Individual service plans (care plans) per regulationsAssess potential or new residentsAssist with admission and discharge processComplete or assure that new hire, yearly training, and evaluations are completedAnswer business phonesTour inquiring individualsAnswering call bells and respond to alarmsMake any necessary reporting to Regional Administrator, local and state agency All other duties assignedTeam Effort:Assist in the development and updating of each resident care plan (ISP)Assist in ensuring compliance with State and Local RegulationsAction:Keep the environment safe for residentsProvide one-on-one support/visitation to residentsRespond to emergenciesPractice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils Reputation:Maintain professional relationships with all employees Maintain good hygiene and a professional appearanceSuccess:Contribute to resident satisfaction by ensuring that customer's expectations are met or exceededMaintain efficient and appropriate communication with residents, family members and guestContribute to marketing efforts through appropriate interaction with prospective resident and guestEssential skills, experience and abilities:Commitment to facilities values, philosophy and missionAble to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionsDemonstrated ability to lead people and get results through othersProblem and analysis and resolution at both a strategic and a functional levelStrong customer orientation to older adultsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPositive attitude, enthusiasm and energyAbility to read , write, and comprehendMeet the licensing requirements - Licensed Assisted Living Facility AdministratorNonessential skills and experience:Previous management experienceDress Code: Professional attire Dress shoes or Croc type shoes need to be slip resistance. An individual must have the reading ability at the level to comprehend care notes. An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 75 pounds. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. . The employee must be free of diseases that can be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during the stage of communicability. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to minimal to moderate noise. The employee will be exposed to blood and/or body fluids. The employee may encounter traumatic situations, such as having to care for mentally ill resident and contact the deceased residents. Employee will generally work Monday - Friday business hours with on call 24/7.
