We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned attorney with a passion for family law and a proven track record in motion practice and court appearances. You will be responsible for handling a variety of family law cases, providing legal counsel to clients, and representing them in court. If you are a committed, client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of family law cases from inception to conclusion.
2. Draft, review and file all types of family law motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
3. Represent clients in court proceedings, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and other family law matters.
4. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents.
5. Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on their rights and obligations, as per the family law statutes.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an attempt to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
7. Develop and implement case strategy in conjunction with the client to meet their goals.
8. Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and updates.
9. Stay updated with changes in family law and advise clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.
3. Licensed to practice law in New York.
4. Extensive experience in motion practice and court appearances.
5. Strong knowledge of family law and court procedures.
6. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
7. Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
11. Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
12. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
13. Resilience and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
14. Commitment to providing superior client service.
