Julie A. Position SummaryWe seek a Federal Litigation l with a strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and an ownership mentality to help drive a high-volume, multi-jurisdiction docket across U.S. district courts and courts of appeals. Under attorney supervision, you will manage matters from intake through judgment and appeal, serving as the day-to-day engine for complex cases involving APA/mandamus, habeas, FOIA, and related constitutional/statutory claims. You will be responsible for rules-based deadline control (FRCP, FRAP, and Local Rules), CM/ECF filing across multiple jurisdictions, precise document assembly (OCR, bookmarks, exhibits, declarations, proposed orders), and rigorous quality control (Bluebook accuracy, record citations, sealed/redacted filings, protective orders). You will research and format discovery and procedural/administrative motions (e.g., motions to compel, protective orders, discovery sanctions, motions to continue or extend time, motions to seal/redact, substitute/withdraw counsel, amend/correct filings, and local-rule administrative motions), as well as supporting declarations, notices, and proposed orders; assist with filing oppositions and replies as assigned; finalize pretrial filings; and file and calendar appellate papers (initiating documents, appendices/excerpts of record, tables, certificates). You will monitor PACER, manage ECF notices, deficiency cures, and service proofs; maintain calendars, ticklers, and briefing matrices; conduct targeted legal research with LexisNexis/Lexis+ (including Lexis+ AI); and build hearing and TRO/PI binders. You will also coordinate third-party vendors (court reporters, interpreters, records retrieval, process servers, e-discovery/trial graphics/printing), ensure evidentiary and confidentiality protocols are followed, and communicate professionally with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and court staff.
