The successful candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a particular focus on fire alarm systems. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in the design and implementation of fire safety systems in a variety of construction projects. Responsibilities:
As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Designing and implementing comprehensive fire alarm systems for a variety of construction projects.
2. Collaborating closely with project managers to ensure the successful execution of fire safety plans.
3. Estimating costs and materials required for fire alarm systems.
4. Conducting thorough inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure they meet all safety standards and codes.
5. Utilizing AutoCAD to create detailed, accurate plans for fire alarm systems.
6. Ensuring all designs comply with NFPA codes.
7. Working with cabling, access control, and audio/visual systems as required.
8. Providing expert advice and guidance on all matters related to fire safety and alarm systems.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a particular focus on fire alarm design.
2. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including their design, installation, and inspection.
3. Experience working with AutoCAD.
4. Familiarity with cabling, access control, and audio/visual systems.
5. A strong understanding of NFPA codes.
6. NICET certification is preferred.
7. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale projects.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
10. A strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
