Job Description:
We are seeking a Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) who is a licensed doctor in another country specializing in psychology or behavioral health. This role provides hands-on experience in behavioral medicine, mental health management, and integrated primary care settings under the supervision of our providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in mental health and behavioral health assessments under the guidance of licensed providers.
- Support primary care physicians in managing patients with psychological and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other disorders.
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-ups in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care providers, psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers.
- Participate in case discussions, treatment planning, and behavioral health interventions.
- Engage in population health initiatives related to chronic disease management and social determinants of health.
- Work with homebound patients and those with mental health challenges to improve overall well-being.
Required Qualifications:
- Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) with a medical degree in psychology or behavioral health from another country.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluency required).
- Experience in clinical psychology, psychiatry, or mental health practice.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and integrated care models.
- Familiarity with chronic disease management, geriatrics, and underserved patient populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in EHR systems (training provided if necessary).
