Gallery Manager Location Palm Beach Gardens, FL :

We are seeking a dynamic Auction and Consignment Gallery Manager to lead our store specializing in consigned goods including jewelry, designer clothing and handbags, antiques, furniture, art, and collectibles. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for valuable items and the ability to manage a busy retail environment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operations of the consignment store, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of customer service.
  • Oversee the intake process for new consignment items, including evaluation, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate online auctions, ensuring smooth operation from item acquisition to final sale.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consignors, buyers, and local community members to enhance inventory quality and store reputation.
  • Organize and maintain the store layout to maximize product visibility and sales.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract new consignors and buyers, including social media promotion and local advertising.
  • Monitor financial transactions, manage store budget, and prepare sales reports to ensure profitability.
  • Resolve any issues related to consignment agreements, customer complaints, or staff disputes.
  • Stay informed about trends in the market for consigned goods and adjust buying and selling strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in retail, preferably in a consignment store, auction hallery or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of antiques, collectibles, and general merchandise pricing.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in retail management software, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills.
