The internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical accounting skills, and experience how the general ledger serves as the backbone of an organization's financial reporting. You will gain hands-on experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools, providing you with practical skills that will be valuable in any future accounting or finance role.

This is a hybrid role, which requires the selected candidate to reside within the Cincinnati Tri-State area.

Major Responsibilities

* Perform month-end close activities

* Book routine monthly journal entries

* Reconcile a variety of cash and prepaid accounts

* Assist with the annual audit

* Participate in ad hoc projects

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

* Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university (Accounting, Finance & Finance Management or Business Management)

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

* Basic computer skills (certain departments may desire more specific experience).

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Excel

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
