This position is responsible for effectively leading the day-to-day operations of the hotel and its team members. The Hotel Manager will assist the General Manager in budgeting, planning, organizing, and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Communicates effectively to staff using tools such as development reviews, training, departmental orientation, and monthly departmental meetings. Motivates and develops team members. Create preventive maintenance programs for consistency of the product. Ensures updated safe work environment. Builds strong partnerships with internal customers and outside vendors. Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills and is a strong, creative problem solver both with team members and third-party partners operating within the hotel. Confident and able to think clearly on your feet and under pressure. Loves to negotiate and create win-win situations for customers, owners, partners, and all operational team members alike. Oversees and directs the daily operations for the Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping & Security departments. Coordinates daily with F&B Managers to ensure seamless, thoughtful, and excellent service. Implements and maintains a service and management philosophy as a standard for respective departments. Develops and implements training for departments to exceed standard service and operational standards. Develops and executes strategies to ensure seamless service delivery while maximizing revenue and managing costs. Assists in developing and maintaining the hotel budget and achieving financial targets. Leads departmental managers and supervisors to ensure guest and employee satisfaction in a cost-efficient manner. Maintains the Arlo Team Member Culture through engagement, training, and development. Participates in Safety Committee initiatives and security provisions. Supports the protection and enhancement of hotel assets through maintenance, security, housekeeping, and capital budgeting programs. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Rooms, Director of Operations, or Assistant General Manager in a hotel environment. Experience in various hotel operational departments including Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering, or Food & Beverage. Proven track record of designing and implementing service standards that yield high guest and employee satisfaction. Experience managing third-party or leased space arrangements such as F&B, valet, or security. Strong financial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and manage expenses. Excellent professional communication and tactfulness in interactions with guests and staff. License Fire Safety Director (must obtain within 6-9 months of employment).
