Job Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Intensivist to the Pulmonary/Critical Care group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Located just 15 minutes from NYC, Lincoln is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University . Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Participate in pulmonary consults across the hospital. Take part in call coverage, including ICU and consult services, on a rotational basis. Lead and manage patients in a busy outpatient pulmonary clinic. Provide longitudinal care for patients with chronic pulmonary conditions. Education & Training Actively participate in the hospital’s residency program and Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship Program. Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students during bedside rounds, lectures, and conferences. Contribute to curriculum development and academic activities. Research & Quality Improvement Engage in research, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the field. Qualifications MD or DO degree. Completed fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Certification: Board-certified/eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Eligible for medical licensure in New York State. Strong clinical, teaching, and communication skills; commitment to patient care and academic excellence. Wages and Benefits Annual Base Salary: $278,000* based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $401,320** , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you. Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family. Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs. Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee. Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
