This position will independently provide support to the bioanalytical lab staff and facilitate the successful assigned stages of studies.

Job Duties :

Below are intended to describe the general nature of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and duties.

  • Displays good working knowledge of routine use and maintenance of equipment relevant to area
  • Performs equipment verifications and calibrations (pipettes, balances, pH meters, plate readers, etc.).
  • Prepares reagents, buffers, and other study related solutions as needed.
  • Provides general lab cleaning, expired reagent monitoring, and glassware washing.
  • Manages the inventory, ordering, E-Workbook registration, storage, organization, and disposal of laboratory supplies. These may include critical reagents, chemicals, consumables, and matrix.
  • Performs test article / reference material weighing's, if appropriate.
  • Performs freezer and refrigerator maintenance, oversees organization.
  • Maintains water systems, performs readings, or sends samples out for testing.
  • Provides ideas, supports, and participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment. Demonstrates understanding of Health and Safety compliance by ensuring that policies/SOPs and training are up to date.
  • May train or assist less experienced staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience

Minimum Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years of laboratory experience or Associate Degree in related field
  • Preferred - Post secondary degree in related scientific field.

Pay Range : $20 - $24.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
