Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory and quality functions.
• The role involves testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials, ensuring compliance with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies.
• The technician must adhere to all standard operating procedures and requirements as directed under standard methods for laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct milk testing, product sample testing, powder testing, full silo batch testing, and bacteria testing.
• Perform laboratory and quality functions by testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies.

Essential Skills

• AS or BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry.
• Experience with lab instrumentation.
• Knowledge of laboratory, quality control, biology, chemistry, quality assurance, GMP, microbiology, wet chemistry, and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• Lab instrumentation experience.
• No professional experience required; open to candidates with educational knowledge.

Work Environment

• The position offers both day and night shifts, with the day shift running from 6am to 6pm and the night shift from 6pm to 6am.
• The lab technician will work in a laboratory setting equipped with necessary lab instrumentation.
• Compliance with safety standards and proper lab attire is mandatory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
