We are currently seeking a Logistics Specialist located in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full-time position working 1st shift. The pay for this position is starting at $21.15 an hour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The position will ensure that the physical resources (supplies and program materials) to conduct training and services for all Training Services programs are available as dictated by Red Cross program requirements. This includes ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained and in high quality condition. This position is responsible for adhering to all administrative activities that support policies and process.

The Training Services Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics and equipment process associated with approved pilots, equipment reviews/testing.

The Training Services Logistics Coordinator will also coordinate with Instructor Managers, Logistics Coordinators and other key Training Services leadership to coordinate training activities.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
  • Supply Chain/Logistics : Manages all supply chain functions for inventory management, warehousing and delivery in a remote training channel area. Manages the acquisition and approval/ distribution and tracking process of equipment and materials. Responsible for efficient and effective resource use, consistent delivery of course materials throughout the country. Tracks and maintains records for inventory and quick identification.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensures equipment is clean, properly maintained and in good working order. Equipment that requires special safety practices will be identified and managed to ensure audit compliance.
  • Customer Service: Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service in all delivery channels to ensure the best training experience. Duties include direct client interaction and adhering to all existing timelines established for customer communication.
  • Resource Management: Recommends investments in technology, capital, equipment systems or other assets that will improve the quality of the delivery of Training Services programs in the territory. Responsible for efficient and effective use of resources. Manages and implements inventory control process flow throughout the service delivery channels. Tracks and maintains records for inventory. Responsible for the management of the facility's processes with the purpose of improving efficiency. Establishes the implementation of procedural operational policies, e.g. facilities resource guide.
  • Community Partnerships: Builds partnerships with Licensed Training Providers and Authorized Providers to find better efficiencies and meet the market needs of the program.
  • Communications: Engages in regular communications with instructing personnel and Training Services team members to provide the necessary provisions for training.
  • Business Capacity and Analytics: Responsible for evaluation, reporting and logistical preparedness for the projected remote training volumes. Provides budgetary projections and impacts for this program which is an emerging strategy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • High school diploma or GED diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in managing customer service or office environments.
  • Related Training Services experience, either as a volunteer or staff preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating staff activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors and manage contracts required.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operations metrics.
  • Work requires interpersonal skills and demonstrates professional written and verbal communication. Ability to participate in group meetings, simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines.
  • Education or service industry experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs.
  • Position requires the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel 10-30%. Must have a valid driver's licenses and reliable transportation for regional travel.

Depending on work assignment, the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
