Manager (Health Informatics)

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, has an opening for Manager with Health Informatics experience. You will work closely with and support our federal health clients to make data more usable. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a healthcare environment working with data and experience working in a consulting role. This is for future openings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate may be responsible for, among other things:
  • Manage Electronic Medical Records and analyze information systems
  • Create new methods of storing and transmitting information
  • Integrate data across multiple departments
  • Train medical staff in how to use electronic programs
  • Responsible for providing stakeholder management, requirements gathering, information modeling, process documentation, and liaison tasks required to support the development of clinical informatics software or other clinical informatics project activities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Health Informatics, Health Systems Administration, or other similar field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in program analysis and/or informatics supporting federal health agencies (strong preference for Veterans Health Administration experience)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in management consulting
  • Experience with requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, and artifact development / documentation of systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or other data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences
  • Experience working with a diverse team of senior leaders and clients while flexibly adjusting to managing shifting demands and ambiguity, reprioritization of objectives, and mitigating rapid change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while interacting and managing a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
  • Proven ability to identify and help resolve issues and risks
  • Proven ability to lead a team ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain a public trust
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices
