About the Role:

Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking candidates for a S mall Engine Repair Mechanic opportunity with our client in Shelby, NC. This temporary to permanent opening offers full-time 1st shift hours.

The Pay is $16.00/HR, and the benefits include Health insurance, Paid Time Off, Weekly Pay, and Bonuses.

Responsibilities include:

This role is ideal for a skilled mechanic with experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of small engines, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other power equipment. Our ideal candidate is customer-oriented and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on work environment.

• Diagnose and R epair : Identify issues and repair various small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and generators.

• Routine Maintenance : Perform tune-ups, part replacements, and preventative maintenance.

• Customer Assistance : Provide clear explanations of repair needs and recommendations to customers.

• Parts Management : Order necessary parts and maintain organized repair and parts records.

• Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks to ensure safe and fully operational equipment.

• Customer Education : Offer basic operation and maintenance advice to customers.

• Workspace Maintenance : Keep a clean and organized repair area

Job Skills and Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in small engine repair or similar mechanic roles.
• Familiar with various types of small engines, including two- and four-stroke engines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and perform quick, accurate repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills; able to communicate repair details effectively.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and part ordering is a plus.
