A nationally recognized pediatric hospital is conducting a confidential search for a Medical Transportation Driver to safely transport young patients to and from medical appointments and procedures. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who values patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality while providing exceptional service to children and their families.
Safely transport pediatric patients to and from medical appointments and hospital procedures.
Ensure the comfort and emotional well-being of patients and their families during transportation.
Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, following all hospital safety protocols.
Monitor patients’ condition during transit and promptly report concerns to medical staff.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-functioning vehicle at all times.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and hospital staff.
Accurately document transportation services and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Follow all traffic laws, hospital policies, and safe driving practices.
Collaborate with medical staff and transportation coordinators to ensure timely, efficient service.
Attend required trainings and stay current with hospital safety and compliance procedures.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong sense of empathy, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
MediClear Certification (or equivalent healthcare compliance credential) required
Ability to remain calm and reassuring in sensitive situations.
Knowledge of safe patient handling and basic medical equipment preferred.
Ability to lift or assist patients as needed and maintain alertness throughout shifts.
