Collaborate with the upper school team to ensure a seamless and cohesive learning experience for students. Incorporate relevant technology to enhance instruction and support student learning. Adapt teaching methods to facilitate remote learning via online platforms when necessary. Manage classroom behavior and establish a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success. Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with colleagues, students, and parents regarding student performance and needs. Participate in departmental, grade-level, school, and parent meetings, contributing to a collaborative and supportive educational community. Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution. 3 to 5+ years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting. Training or experience in Special Education and a strong commitment to inclusive practices. Willingness to attend professional development programs, such as the Orton-Gillingham Educator course and multisensory math training. Proficiency in relevant technology and a willingness to obtain Apple Teacher certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
