Job Summary/Description: KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic anchor to join our morning news team. A successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling. The Ideal candidate must be an effective communicator who excels in delivering a variety of stories in scripted and breaking news situations. The ability to cultivate sources, enterprise stories, and produce a weekly franchise is a must. Applicant must have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, generating story ideas, shooting/writing/editing stories for broadcast and digital platforms, and anchoring newscasts. Maintaining professional social media accounts and assisting producers and reporters in showcasing stories are vital.

Qualifications/Requirements: - Qualifications include possessing strong delivery and reporting skills, along with the ability to ad-lib.
- The successful candidate must also be proficient in digital platforms and meet social media and CTV goals as outlined by management.
- Experience in shooting/editing own stories and a college degree in journalism or a related field are also required.
- Driving is required for this position, so an MVR check is required.
