Description
The Outside Sales Representative will increase new account sales in a protected local market territory by growing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and following up on new potential leads while utilizing a proven sales system that works.
Qualifications/Skills
1-3 years plus Business-to-Business sales or related experience
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be willing to follow a proven sales system that FPC has in place for maximum benefits.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
Responsibilities
Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads and maintain existing leads.
Acquire new business, large and small, in your specified territory by cold calling, networking, research and retention calls.
Negotiates sales contracts including pricing, terms and conditions and scope of services.
Conduct presentation meetings with potential clients based on their needs
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves issues that may arise post-sale.
Maintains detailed reports on sales activities including calls, orders, sales lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship concerns.
Work environment and expectations
May be exposed to loud noise, humidity, and hot and cold weather conditions
Occasionally work in an office setting.
Extended periods of travel within sales territory
Physical Requirements
Possess physical ability to perform all aspects of job.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.
There may be prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.
Must be able to lift 15lbs at times.
Must be able to travel.
