**Job Title: Painter Helper** **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated Painter Helper for a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. This position offers two shifts: first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and second shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The Painter Helper will support the paint department by preparing parts for the operators, which includes pulling paint, mixing paint, filling out paperwork, racking, un-racking, and part surface preparation. **Responsibilities** + Prepare parts for operators in the paint department. + Pull paint and mix paint as required. + Fill out necessary paperwork. + Support the racking and un-racking of parts. + Stage and prepare orders for processing. + Prepare the surface of parts for painting. + Inspect in-process paint jobs using inspection tools. + Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-rays, and thickness gages. **Essential Skills** + Experience in paint preparation and mixing. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches. + Proficient in using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills. + Experience with inspection tools like duelscope. + Attention to detail and ability to fill out paperwork accurately. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic work environment where your contributions are valued. The dress code is standard industrial wear to ensure safety and compliance. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
