Painter II is responsible for completing interior and exterior painting projects. This role involves advanced surface preparation, color matching, and application techniques. The Painter II must deliver high-quality results while adhering to project timelines and safety standards.

This position is responsible for:

• Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces using various techniques and finishes.
• Repair and fill cracks, holes, and joints with putty, plaster, or other fillers.
• Apply primers, sealers, and finishing coats to surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired results.
• Operate and maintain painting tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Mentor and supervise less experienced painters as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety

Minimum:

• Completion of Painter I or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools.
• Strong understanding of different paint types, finishes, and their applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred:

• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
