Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, Invisalign and pediatrics.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take digital dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend dental software.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.

Experience

• Proficiency in dental terminology related to dentistry.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Familiarity with dental imaging processes and X-Ray technology.
• Previous experience in a dental assisting role is required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Experience with I-Tero Scanning is required
