Job Title: Shopify Developer

Schedule: At least 5 hours per month

Summary of the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Shopify Developer to join our team. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Shopify stores, ensuring they are user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for conversions. You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to implement custom features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the overall performance of our online stores.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Shopify stores, including custom themes and app integrations.
• Implement and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure that Shopify stores are responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers.

Feature Implementation:

• Develop and integrate custom features and functionality to enhance the e-commerce experience.
• Create and modify Shopify apps or plugins as needed to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to implement visual and UX improvements.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimize store performance, including load times and overall user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Shopify stores and third-party apps.
• Monitor and improve the SEO performance of Shopify sites.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing of new features, updates, and customizations to ensure they function correctly and meet quality standards.
• Perform regular audits of the Shopify store to identify and address potential issues or areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with the marketing and design teams to align technical developments with business goals and branding.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify developments, trends, and best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document technical processes, customizations, and development work for future reference and training.

• Provide regular updates on project status, issues, and milestones to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience developing and managing Shopify stores, with a portfolio of past projects.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Shopify basic plan for promos
  • Experience with Shopify’s API, third-party apps, and custom app development.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Development Skills:

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Shopify Plus or enterprise-level Shopify implementations.
• Knowledge of Shopify's theme architecture and app development best practices.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and tools for e-commerce.
