The Corporate Parts Manager is responsible for running and efficient parts program. They will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, security, pricing and elimination of obsolete. The Corporate Parts Manager is responsible to populate the system with the correct part numbers for successful fleet operations, choosing long term quality parts from the most cost effective purchasing locations. He/she provides leadership to the facilities and manages performance to achieve a range of inventory required to operate a successful business and ensures customer uptime. The Parts Manager must be an advisor to the local facility.
Core objective is to turn parts department from a reactionary order- taking environment creating unnecessary downtime to a proactive, just in time stock, supplying the needs of the shop based on number and types of vehicles operated in the facility.
