Job Duties Lead quality assurance efforts across upstream Oil & Gas applications, ensuring robust testing coverage and high software reliability. Design, develop, and execute effective test cases for various testing types including functional, integration, performance, regression, and UAT. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and Product Owners to align testing strategies with business goals. Manage defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Contribute to test automation initiatives and framework enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering Minimum 4 years of QA experience, preferably in upstream Oil & Gas software environments. Solid understanding of drilling and completions workflows such as well construction, fluids management, and performance monitoring. ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is preferred but not mandatory. Technical Expertise Proficient in software testing methodologies: Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression, and UAT. Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and ALM tools like Azure DevOps/TFS or JIRA. Familiarity with engineering software such as WellCat, WellPlan, and Compass is a plus. Working knowledge of automation tools and test framework design. Strong communication and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset. Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
