Responsible for filling prescriptions under the supervision of Pharmacist in the Hospital Pharmacy. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to hospital patients, computes charges, and enters data in the system. Implements inventory control processes and systems and orders stock and merchandise within regulatory guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities: 1. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types out labels for bottles.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Current active registration with the State of NJ Board of Pharmacy.
2. Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
3. 3-5 years of experience in a Hospital Pharmacy or relevant area.
