Phlebotomist / 40 Hrs, Days M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM / Lab Outreach Program 24 Hartwell Ave, Lexington Join us as a Phlebotomist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, working full-time during daytime hours from Monday to Friday. This role involves performing venipuncture, fingersticks, and bleeding times, obtaining patient identification, and maintaining proper specimen labeling. You will be responsible for transporting specimens, maintaining supplies, and participating in quality assurance and ongoing training programs. Responsibilities include: Performing venipunctures, blood culture collection, and fingersticks with proper ID and labeling. Reporting bleeding times according to SOPs. Ensuring adequate supply stock and reporting needs. Transporting specimens to testing sites. Participating in QA, competency, and continuing education activities. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Preferred registration: ASCP Registered; NCA Certification preferred. 0-1 years of related experience required. Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based applications. Competencies: Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures. Ability to work respectfully with colleagues and patients. High level of customer service and stress management skills. Physical Demands: Light work involving exerting up to 20 pounds, standing, and moving throughout the hospital campus.
