PhysicianRequisition IDreq30783Working TitlePhysicianPosition Grade93Position SummaryStudentHealth and Counseling (SHAC) is a comprehensive health service available to allcurrently enrolled UNM students. SHAC is located North of Johnson Center andacross from the Student Union Building. It is open Monday through Friday and isclosed on all weekends and UNM holidays. Services include medical appointments(scheduled and same day), counseling and psychiatry services, sexual andreproductive health, international travel health, allergy and immunizationmanagement and compliance services, sports medicine physical therapy,acupuncture, massage therapy, lab, pharmacy and x-ray as well as healtheducation, prevention, and promotion.StudentHealth and Counseling is recruiting for a .80 FTE Physician who is BoardCertified and has at least 3 years of experience after training. Must beflexible and available to work as needed. Primary duties are the provision ofmedical care to UNM students.Desirable candidate is an MD or DO with experience in primary and acute care delivered to a diverse population with aparticular emphasis on, or interest in, young adult health.Work schedulemay vary within the hours of 8am- 5 pm Monday through Friday.The schedule for this .80 FTE (32 hours weekly) position is negotiable within the Monday-Friday 8am-5pm hours of operation. See the Position Description for additional information.Conditions of EmploymentMust pass a pre-employment criminal background check.May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable.Must maintain certification status.Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.Must maintain certification and/or licensure status.Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.CPR Certified.May be required to submit immunization records for review for required vaccines and TB testing.Minimum QualificationsMedical doctor; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.
