Position Summary

As a Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience. Your role encompasses a variety of tasks, including assisting customers with their shipping, printing, and business service needs. You will handle package processing, operate various office equipment, and manage point-of-sale transactions. Additionally, you will provide accurate information about our products and services, identify customer needs, and offer appropriate solutions. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and computer skills. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
•Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
•Execute best practices instituted by The UPS Store franchise and Kabelin Shipping Company.
•Maintain day-to-day operations and uphold housekeeping standards.
•Ensure effective communication with staff and management.
•Maintain merchandising standards.
•Answer customers' questions and provide information on products and services.
•Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
•Follow packaging requirements to ensure no damage occurs to customers' products.
•Communicate all packaging requirements with the UPS driver at the time of pickup (e.g., high-value items are signed at pickup).
•Assist customers with copying, faxing, laminating, and binding projects.
•Coordinate print orders with our print specialist.
•Sell and maintain customer mailboxes.
•Balance end-of-day cash drawers.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
•Capacity to multitask effectively.
•Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and reach above your head.
•Must be able to stand for up to 8-10 hours per shift. Ace Hardware
