Role: Backend Engineer
Location: On-site in San Francisco
Salary: Up to $400k + equity + benefits
Our client is on a mission to re-build the physical world by developing super-intelligence that accelerates hardware innovation. They focus on building frontier AI models to understand complex technologies in semiconductors and electronics.
In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain scalable backend systems supporting cutting-edge AI models and data infrastructure.
- Create and manage the world’s largest dataset for electronics and semiconductors.
- Develop agentic AI applications utilizing LLM APIs integrated into Windows and Mac software.
- Collaborate closely with frontend and ML teams to deliver groundbreaking AI solutions.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of backend services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience building scalable backend solutions.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, C++, and/or C.
- Exceptional system design and product development experience.
- Familiarity with AWS ecosystem.
- Passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems and innovating.
Bonus points for:
- Background in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience as an early engineer in a hyper-growth startup.
