Scopely is looking for a Release Manager to join our Certification and Release Team in Culver City on a hybrid basis. What You Will Do As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for tracking, coordinating, and managing games’ releases and updates through the Software Development Lifecycle. You will look for opportunities to improve existing processes and systems, identify potential efficiencies, develop suggestions, and implement them both within the team and with partners. Develop new practices and structures to better scale release management and stabilization processes across the product. Owning the scheduling, coordination, quality control, and external certification process across multiple platforms and/or products, especially PC and Mobile platforms. Coordinate with Scopely’s Certification and Release Team to allow for a smooth hand-off for console Submission, Certification, and Release. Knowing the process for submitting builds to PC and Mobile partners inside and out, and is an expert on all things related to PC and Mobile Submission portals. You will be the primary interface between the game team and Mobile and PC developer portals. Collaborating with Publishing, Certification and Release, Marketing, Live-Ops, and QA, on release content plans as related to patch updates and digital content and works with partners to help shepherd that content through to release. Works closely with QA, Build Engineers, and Game Development team to ensure quality and timely build delivery and verification. Guides the game through internal verification and sign-off, getting feedback from all major stakeholders. Coordinating the on-time release of all supported distribution platforms so all platforms are delivered on schedule, and can release simultaneously without issue. Working with QA Leads to establish and maintain bug triage process, determine and prioritize must-fix issues for release and work with appropriate team members to ensure bug fixes happen as planned. Building a clear set of sign-off tests and criteria for both submission and live game releases, digital content releases, and live-ops events and offers. Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve any issues related to submission, certification, compliance, or general release. Coordinating internal and external release notes, known issues, and knowledge base updates. What We’re Looking For Strong project management and communication skills Demonstrated ability in right-sized process development and improvement Experience with build and release processes for Software or Games as a Service product Familiar with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail, and Miro Strong knowledge of Google Play, iOS App Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Working Knowledge of Xbox and PlayStation Technical orientation and a strong understanding of software development Knowledge of the game development process and exposure to working with shipped and live titles For candidates in CA, CO, MD, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $79,900 - $117,700, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off.
