**Remote Test Pilot**
at Pyka Oakland, CA Pyka is looking for a Remote Test Pilot to support the development and commercial deployments of its advanced autonomous aircraft. You will take an active role in the preparation and execution of flight testing campaigns of cutting-edge new technology and products. This is your opportunity to test, evaluate and deploy the aircraft of the future.
As part of the flight test team you will be actively involved in flight testing programs for our unmanned aircraft, as well as commercial deployments abroad. This is a multi-disciplinary role that interacts with multiple internal and external organizations, so written and verbal communication skills are critical. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the standardization of aircraft ground and flight operations and procedures, flight test and instructional techniques.

We design, develop and manufacture an ecosystem of technologies including proprietary flight control software, avionics, high power density motors, motor controllers, batteries, and custom carbon-fiber composite airframes.

**Responsibilities**
* Support development, operation and demonstration of autonomous aircraft systems in and around the Winters, CA (including remote piloting, mission planning, diagnosing errors, and documenting results)
* Travel to and participate in international commercial deployments (Central America, South America, the Caribbean) to support flight testing and customer training activities for approximately 16 weeks out of the year (non-consecutive)
* Recommend new features, improvements, design changes, etc. to the design team
* Conduct fleet maintenance activities and management
* Serve as Pilot In Command of experimental / developmental unmanned aircraft
* Develop test strategies, test plans and test procedures for the aircraft and components given systems requirements
* Lead and/or participate in ground and flight test events as Test Conductor or Test Crew member
* Manage complex logistics in support of flight test operations
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Part 61 pilot certificate
* Experience flying fixed wing UAVs / model aircraft or large multirotors
* Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and manuals
* Experience with mechanical and electrical systems, assembly, and troubleshooting
* Experience with ground control software and general computer skills
* Independent and motivated, with an extremely strong work ethic; able to self-direct and manage time
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Spanish and/or Portuguese
