Job Description: Entry to Mid-level Restoration Technician

Position: Restoration Technician

Location: Reno-Tahoe and beyond

What You’ll Do:

As a Restoration Technician, you’ll work alongside an experienced team member to help restore homes and businesses affected by water, fire, and mold damage. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Assisting in setting up and monitoring drying equipment
  • Helping remove damaged materials like drywall and flooring
  • Cleaning and sanitizing affected areas
  • Conduct thorough inspections to determine the extent of damage
  • Provide exceptional customer service, build rapport, and keep clients informed and reassured throughout the process, confidently explaining the steps of the mitigation process
  • Utilize industry-leading techniques and equipment to mitigate loss
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and communicate effectively with team members and clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • Entry-level experience in restoration services; construction knowledge is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player; ability to develop, learn, and apply operation and work procedures
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor as required

Requirements/Demands:

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Exposure to noise levels from moderate to loud
  • Lift (constantly) 5-40 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-100 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects and work with/around cleaning agents
  • Basic computer and technology skills
  • Cultural fit to our organization, work ethic, and our values
  • Reliability and on-time attendance

Duties:

  • Construction of containment systems and critical barriers
  • Assist in monitoring environmental controls and negative pressure
  • Operation of air scrubbers and negative air machines
  • Monitoring moisture and humidity
  • Precision demolition
  • Removal of contaminated building materials
  • Post-remediation detailed cleaning and fire odor restoration
  • Perform dry-checks
  • Water damage emergency response and monitoring
  • Mold remediation
  • Biohazard cleanup
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment
  • Apply antimicrobial products
  • Proper use of PPE equipment including respirator, gloves, and goggles
  • On-call rotation for weekend emergencies
  • Other duties as assigned
